Statutory Right of Withdrawal (Italian Consumer Code)
Under the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree No. 206/2005), you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.
Return Period
You have 14 calendar days from the date you receive your order to request a return and exercise your right of withdrawal. If 14 days have passed since delivery, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund or exchange unless the item is faulty.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
Unused and in the same condition that you received it
In its original packaging with all tags attached
Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)
How to Initiate a Return / Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal
To start a return, please contact us at info@abitatdesign.com. When you reach out, please have the following information ready:
Where and when you purchased the product
Proof of purchase
Photos of the product showing its current condition
The reason for your return
Our customer service team will guide you through the return process and provide you with the return address.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for covering the cost of return shipping unless the item received is faulty, damaged, or incorrect due to our error.
Refund Processing and Legal Compliance
Once we receive your returned item and inspect its condition, we will process your refund internally within 1–3 business days.
Pursuant to the Italian Consumer Code, we ensure that the total refund is issued to your payment provider no later than 14 calendar days from the date we received your withdrawal notification. Please note that your bank or payment provider may then take an additional 6–10 business days to credit the funds to your account, depending on their internal processing times. The total time you see the money in your account may vary, but our statutory obligation to issue the refund is always met within the 14-day legal deadline.
Refund Notification
You will be notified via email or phone once we have processed your refund internally.
Damaged or Faulty Items
If you receive a damaged or faulty item, please contact us immediately at info@abitatdesign.com with photos of the damage. We will arrange for a replacement or a full refund, including return shipping costs, on a case-by-case basis.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain items may not be eligible for return. These will be clearly indicated on the product page at the time of purchase.
